Dialects and pronunciation

There are hundreds of Chinese dialects in modern Spoken Chinese Language, that can be classified into the following 11 main dialect groups:

Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Gan, Jin, Huainan, Minbei, Minnan, Pinghua, Xiang and Wu.

All the dialects of the modern Spoken Chinese Language share a common writing system that contains two subsystems: Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Different dialect groups may have different romanization systems, like Pinyin for Mandarin and Jyutping for Cantonese.
